Anna Nicole Smith hasn’t had a stellar career. Her first movie appearance though, was in a high-profile Hollywood movie by critically-acclaimed directors Joel and Ethan Coen. This was “The Hudsucker Proxy”, and she followed that up with a role in the third instalment of the popular “Naked Gun” comedies.
Two cheap action movie failures followed that though, with Anna Nicole starring in both, in an attempt to have a real Hollywood career. Those movies were “To The Limit” in 1995, and “Skyscraper” in 1997. The nude Anna Nicole content in these movies was probably the best reason to watch any of them. Low-budget action comedy “Wasabi Tuna” followed in 2003, during her reality show years. She had another small part in a good Hollywood film in 2005, which was “Be Cool”, before releasing her last movie, the posthumous B-movie “Illegal Aliens”, opposite Joanie Laurer, who is better known as pro-wrestling’s Chyna.
When it comes to videos and appearances on TV, the bulk of her work has been as herself, when she was the subject of one news story or another. She’s had some guest appearances on TV shows though, like “Ally McBeal” and “Veronica’s Closet”, but of course her most infamous TV work has been as the star of her own reality show, “The Anna Nicole Show”, which ran on the E! network from 2002-2004. Her bizarre behaviour was thoroughly showcased on this show, which debuted big and eventually turned into a kind of cult hit and guilty pleasure.
